Supporting a missionary can be a very abstract idea! You give money each month, but are not always sure what exactly it is providing for. We wanted to give you some insight into what your financial support practically allows us to do in Taiwan.

First, here are some examples of the percentages of different support amounts:

• $25 a month is about 1% of our total monthly support need
• $50 a month is about 2% of our total monthly support need
• $75 a month is about 3% of our total monthly support need
• $100 a month is almost 5% of our total monthly support need

Now let us give you some examples of what the above contributions can provide for each month.

A $25 monthly contribution can provide for 8 meals with Taiwanese young people, sharing the Gospel, engaging with their needs and concerns, praying with them, and purposefully leading them closer to Christ.

A $50 monthly contribution can provide for one of us to study Chinese for a week, which will greatly increase our effectiveness in ministry, as we will increasingly be able to share the Gospel and disciple new believers - all in Chinese!

A $75 monthly contribution can provide for 24 meals with seekers, or 12 meals that we can share together with unbelieving couples, building friendships, and sharing Christ with them.

A $100 monthly contribution can provide for one of us to attend a weekend retreat with seekers that we have been routinely scheduling as of Fall 2009. These retreats are designed to give seekers focused time with Christians to bond, share their lives with each other, and experience focused Bible teaching.

We hope that this information is helpful to you in determining exactly what your support funds can provide for. If you are not yet supporting us, we hope we have been able to give you a better idea of what your support can do to further the Gospel in Taiwan in the future.
