Accountability and transparency are very important to us as we continue our long-term missionary work in Taipei being fully partnered with our Taiwanese church. This essentially means that we have placed ourselves under national Taiwanese leadership for the long term future, as we continue serving alongside Truth Church. For now this means focusing on growing our 3E English ministry into a stable and more fruitful ministry that consistently makes disciples of Taiwanese people of all ages. But as our Chinese language abilities improve in the future, our ministry possibilies also expand. While we are not able to say at this point what specific ministries the Lord will lead us into five years from now, we do see exciting options for church-planting in fast-growing suburbs of Taipei, as well as opportunities for short-term ministry in the Chinese mainland, to train church leaders and strengthen the Chinese church.

Since we are now partnered with our Taiwanese church, we wanted to introduce you to some of our closest friends and ministry co-workers. These people you see below know us extremely well, and have all agreed to provide our US supporters with dependable accountability regarding our life and ministry.

Pastor Moses and Joyce

Our Taiwanese pastor Moses and his wife Joyce directly oversee the community of foreigners attending Truth Church, as well as our 3E English ministry. Erich attends pastor Moses' weekly Chinese cell group, and Kelley attends Joyce's weekly Chinese cell group. Pastor Moses and Joyce are our mentors, and know us better then anyone else in Taiwan. They know our strengths and weaknesses, and are in the best place to provide our supporters back in the US with reliable accountability on how we are doing.

Calvin

Calvin is Erich's best Taiwanese friend, and has been appointed by pastor Moses as our 3E Ministry deacon. As such he directly oversees our team of native English speakers and provides the ministry with guidance and vision. Calvin and Erich both attend pastor Moses' cell group together, and often hang out together in their free time. As a very close friend and ministry co-worker, Calvin is also in a great place to provide our US supporters with the accountability they need.

Cindy

Cindy and Kelley have been close friends ever since we first moved to Taiwan in 2006. They both attend Joyce's cell group together, and often spend time together in their free time. Cindy has accompanied us to the US during the summer of 2008, and had the chance to meet many of our extended family members. She has been our close co-worker in our 3E Ministry ever since we first arrived in Taiwan, and as such is also in a great position to provide you with accountability.

Rick and Erin

Rick and Erin are our closest foreign friends in Taiwan. When we first arrived in the Taipei airport, it was Erin (along with Calvin and Cindy) who was waiting to pick us up. We have all been working together in reaching Taiwanese people for Christ in our 3E Ministry during the past few years, and also spend a lot of time together outside of our ministry. They both are active members in our English cell group. Because of our long history as co-workers and friends, Erin and Rick are also in a good position to provide our US supporters with detailed accountability on how we are doing.
