Language classes

We are currently enrolled in three hours of Chinese Language Classes each weekday. Our school, the NTU Chinese Language Division, is part of the National Taiwan University, the largest, and most highly recognized University in Taiwan.

Located just ten minutes walking distance from our apartment, the NTU CLD is located on the main National Taiwan University campus. The CLD has been teaching the Chinese language to international students since 1984. We currently have two Japanese classmates.

Program description

Learning Chinese at the CLD is comprehensive, challenging, and balanced. We are studying Chinese writing, reading, speaking, comprehension, and grammar all at an equal pace. Each week we are expected to know how to recognize, read, comprehend, write, and use in daily conversation between 40-60 new Chinese characters. We are tested 4 out of 5 weekdays to ensure that we are keeping up with the material.

While the course is very challenging, we believe that it is the best study program for us, and is laying the foundation for decades of ministry in the Chinese language!
