The first week of this year's Alpha course was fantastic!  God blessed us with the most people we have ever had attend the first week.  By our last count, we had 99 new friends in attendance.  The fourth floor of Truth Church was packed with people, many of whom may have never been in a church before.  God is so gracious to bring so many people to begin to hear about his love for the first time.

The evening started with a delicious meal, during which people sat in groups and got to meet the other Alpha attendees.  There were coworkers in each group who began to establish relationships.  After the meal, Kelley and Julianne led everyone in a get-to-know-you bingo ice-breaker.  It was fun watching everyone running around trying to make a new friend whose birthday was in September or who had more than three siblings.  Following the game, Jesse and Niall led a a song time.  Everyone enjoyed singing a Chinese favorite!  Erich came after the song and gave an overview of what Alpha is and began to share a little of the gospel message that will be presented over the next few weeks.  There seemed to be an enthusiastic response to the entire program, as everyone engaged well with all the activities.

We are excited about what the next few weeks will hold.  You can be involved with us by praying throughout the week.

1.  that God will bring everyone one back again next week.

2.  that the seeds that are being sown will take root in the people's hearts

3.  that God will give strength, wisdom, and guidance to all the coworkers who are preparing for the next meeting and who will be interacting with seekers during the course.
