Crossing 7 Taiwan’s desire is to make your transition and adjustment to Taiwan as easy and stress-free as possible. In order to achieve this, here are several benefits you will receive by partnering together with us:
- Strong network of support. Upon your arrival in Taiwan, you will be connected with experienced, like-minded Christians, ready and willing to help you adjust to your new environment. One avenue of support is a weekly English fellowship group in which we gather together to share about life and pray together.
- Teaching job. Crossing 7 Taiwan is closely connected with several English schools in Taipei City. While we cannot guarantee a position, we will assist you by submitting your resume before your arrival and helping to arrange interviews. There are many options for teaching, and it will be your choice what option is best for you. Previous teaching experience is not required, but is helpful.
- Housing. Once you have arrived in Taiwan, Crossing 7 Taiwan will provide you with temporary housing until permanent housing is found. We will assist you in your apartment search.
- Culture training. Upon your arrival, Crossing 7 Taiwan will hold a 2-3 day retreat in which you will be introduced to the Taiwanese culture, language, foods, and way of life. Between Crossing 7 Taiwan’s members, there is over 10 years combined experience of living in Taiwan. Crossing 7 Taiwan’s desire is to share the knowledge and understanding we have learned with you, in order to make your time in Taiwan is as fruitful and fulfilling as possible.
- Home church arrangement. Crossing 7 Taiwan has a strong relationship with a local Taiwanese church, centered in the heart of Taipei City. This church, Taipei Truth Lutheran Church, is located directly across the street from the largest and most renowned university in Taiwan, the National Taiwan University. Therefore, the location provides numerous opportunities for reaching out to Taiwan’s up and coming leaders.
- Taiwanese buddy. Upon your arrival you will be partnered with a Taiwanese Christian from Truth Church. This person will be your "go-to" person for needs you will have upon arrival such as: getting a cell phone, finding a doctor, finding an apartment, setting up house-hold utilities, etc. This is a great opportunity for cultural integration!
| 7. English Ministry. By partnering with us, not only will you have the opportunity to teach English, but you will gain experience in cross-cultural ministry. You will work closely with the church in their English outreach program, 3E Ministries. These include the Bilingual Alpha Course and various other ministry opportunities. You will have the privilege of reaching out to the local Taiwanese people. |
