Crossing 7 Taiwan is unique in that it is run with almost no overhead costs which means that we currently do not charge an administration fee if you participate with us in ministry. We believe in full time missions but we believe strongly in 'tent-making' missions as well. Because of this we support ourselves and the assistance we provide is free of charge to you out of our desire to benefit you as much as possible. Crossing 7 Taiwan is also unique in that it provides a lot of freedom to you as a missionary. You will be working as a co-worker alongside the founders of the 3E ministry at Truth Lutheran Church, with lots of opportunities for doing ministry with our new Taiwanese friends attending 3E. Crossing 7 Taiwan is unique because we are serving in a very unreached and overlooked place. Taiwan is largely non-Christian and the ammount of people who have very little or no knowledge of the Bible and Jesus Christ is very high (around 98% of Taiwanese people do not know Jesus - yet!).
First, please take some time to read the content on this website. This will help you get to know us better, and it will provide you with the information you need to begin thinking about joining us.
Next, please seriously consider whether you think God is opening the door to partnering with Crossing 7 Taiwan. Share your thoughts with close family members and prayer partners who can support you in your decision-making process.
Finally, when you have reached the point where you have a sense of God's peace in directing you to Taiwan for a year or more, please fill out the Personal Application Form, and have your pastor fill out the Pastoral Reference Form. Also, make sure to carefully read the Liability Release, which you will have to agree to in its entirety as part of the application process.
If you are thinking of joining us in the Summer, we highly recommend you apply by March 15th.
Currently your team members in Taiwan include Rick and Erin Chamness and Erich and Kelley Schindler. Read about our stories on our Missionary Stories page.
Spiritual support is vital to your state of being here in Taiwan. We have no mandatory rules for this kind of support since there is really no real way to regulate it. But we do ask that you have people from your church dedicated to praying for you on a regular basis. This does not guarantee you will not struggle spiritually while you are here. We ask the following:
