Tentmaking
 |
"Tentmaking" refers to a method of cross-cultural Christian missionary work in which missionaries support themselves by using their skills to work in the marketplace, in place of, or to supplement financial support churches and individuals in their home country. The term comes from the fact that the apostle Paul supported himself by making tents while living and preaching in Corinth (Acts 18:3).
